Bio

At the tender age of 6 Will picked up his first, half-size guitar, and under the instruction of Maurice Albin immediately begun training and practicing for exams with Guildhall. A High-Honours at Preliminary Grade, obtained at the age of 6, was a rather good start to the Merits which followed.

Concerts with his then school Dumpton Preparatory were avoided at all costs as Will was a cronic shy-boy. However, with some gentle prods and pushes from parents, friends and Maurice, Will gave his first public performance at the age of 7.

Wanting to broaden his musical abilities, Will became very inrerested in electric guitar legends such as Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughn. His classical playing was almost stopped completely at this point by the attractions of the rock lifestyle.

His commitment didn't waver on classical though and last year he passed Trinity College's Associate Diploma in Classical Guitar Recital with only losing one mark. He has just recently passed the Licentiate Diploma with distinction, earning him the letters ATCL and now LTCL.

Will first started composing two years ago when he heard the Italian acoustic guitar virtuoso Antonio Forcione perform at a local school. Will said: "I've never seen the guitar being played in so many different ways, with so much feeling and style."

Although Antonio inspired Will to compose, his compositions have already developed a very unique style in all guitar styles from Latin American to fingerstyle, wood-tapping and classical.

Will's compositions have certainly become his trademark, and having worked in conjunction with various promoters on the South coast, he has been gigging regularly in Portsmouth, Southampton, Poole and Bournemouth.
